Butterfly Tagging

Posted by VT Jenny on October 7, 2008

The Mariposa Monarca Monarch Butterfly Exhibit at the Marshall Butterfly Pavillion has butterfly tagging demonstrations each Thursday at 1:30 p.m. as part of the Southwest Monarch Study, a research project that is tracking the migratory patterns of monarchs across Arizona.

This butterfly was tagged with 222Y, is a male and was released on Thursday Oct. 2th, 2008. Hopefully someone will find him at let us know where he ended up.

The Monarch Butterfly Exhibit is open 9:30 to 5pm, September 27 to November 2, 2008
